Something that is key to Emily whether teaching or practicing, is that classes are taught with an emphasis on mindfulness - not only of the asana, but also the spiritual perspective.  She creates classes that focus on connecting the body and breath and likes to find ways to incorporate themes that everyone can connect with on some level.  A lot of the time find she finds this is possible through using nature as a source.  Being in the great outdoors brings her a sense of calm and awareness, and being based in Fernie she finds inspiration surrounding her every day.

Emily studied yoga in Darjeeling, India, at Himalayan Yoga Bliss, where she gained her 200 hour RYT certification. She aspires to find a balance between the practice style of the East and the West, allowing everyone to benefit from their own yoga practice however they need, cultivating strength and serenity inside and out.

“The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness.”
