Yoga Therapy Ball Workshop: Low Back, Upper Back and Shoulders/Chest

Therapy balls are a versatile piece of exercise equipment available to help people with back pain. In particular, movements using the balls are designed to bring movement to the spine in a controlled manner to help keep the discs nourished. Moving the vertebrae helps nourish the discs in the spine by increasing blood flow around the disc and by causing the water to flow in and out of the disc. 

As well we will look at the upper front body.  Using the therapy balls to correct slouched posture by releasing chest muscles. 

Applying the balls to trigger Points in the Pectoralis Major and Minor releasing tightness and shortening of this muscle group. This releases the grip of those muscles on the shoulders that pulls them forward creating a round-shouldered posture.

Using this sequence, we learn to negate the negative effects of the modern lifestyle.  This sequence can be beneficial before any workout to experience more opening in the chest and shoulder area. $50
