Shona has been practicing and loving yoga since 2001. She brings thirty years of physical therapy experience to her yoga teaching - blending anatomy knowledge with the teachings of yoga philosophy, breath work and energy play. Yoga helped her work through some of her own injuries and in 2008, she became inspired to take the Essential Yoga Studio teacher training program. With her E-RYT 200 certification, Shona's passion is teaching a healing hatha style that is accessible to all students, specifically learning about the mind, body and spirit, and sharing new ideas in her classes.
To evolve her knowledge and teaching, she has also received Yin Yoga Teaching certification from Bernie Clark, and has attended numerous training workshops including restorative yoga, trauma sensitive yoga, anatomy and yoga, and yamas and niyamas philosophy group. Lifelong learning, innovation, and progression is an essential part of her yoga journey.
